In its announcement, the faculty highlights Marcin’s research achievements and participation in the High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy conferences in Dijon, France (2023), Bologna, Italy (2024), and Cologne, Germany (2025).
Working in Prof. Piotr Wcisło’s team at the Institute of Physics, Marcin helped build a measurement system based on a cryogenic spectrometer and collected experimental data. He is a co-author of Cavity-enhanced spectroscopy in the deep cryogenic regime for quantum sensing and metrology.
The faculty also notes his scholarships from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for 2023/2024, the Mayor of Toruń for 2024/2025 and the Rector for 2024/2025. The award committee recognized his contribution to the university community, including his service on the jury for the Young People’s Award in the Physics, Astronomy and Technical Studies competition.
This is Marcin’s second such distinction: he was also named the faculty’s best graduate for 2023/2024 after completing his engineering degree.
